A great time was had by children of MK kids with Diabetes at the Christmas Pantomime, MK Theatre, December 2015.
Living with type-1 diabetes is particularly tough for a child or young person. On the outside, they may appear like any other healthy child but they have to cope with the incredible burden of the condition. Relentless multiple blood tests and insulin injections - 24/7 and a constant vigilance to control their blood glucose levels. They have to do this to prevent debilitating hypos and long-term health conditions.
Events like this are great because they are fun and they bring the children and their families together with others who are all going through the same thing.
We wish to thank the following people and organisations for sponsoring this event:
- Rotary Club of Bletchley
- Hungerford House Sheltered Housing
- Chloe Hammond
- Pam and Keith Armstrong
